Position Overview:

We have an opportunity for a seasoned Compensation Manager. As Verisk's growth continues, we are streamlining our HR processes and further integrating our acquisitions into our human capital management systems.

In this position, you will lead our Compensation - HRIS team in administering the salary plan. Your responsibilities will include total compensation planning, rewards design, acquisition integration, policy communication, restructuring, and HRIS. We will also look to you to identify opportunities to employ human capital analytics in our work across the enterprise, especially as it relates to retention of high value employees.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the compensation planning process and administer the salary plan. Revise salary ranges and oversee the development of job descriptions and evaluations
• Manage the design and maintenance of the HRIS, track HR metrics, maintain employee information, and meet management reporting needs
• Define technology requirements, make recommendations and implement new systems and upgrades
• Responsible for achieving the organization's desired position in the market
• Conduct benchmarking and participate in surveys to determine appropriate pay levels and ensure external and internal pay equity
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies and government regulations, and record keeping requirements
• Conduct reporting and analysis on a variety of annual processes, such as promotions, bonus-salary reviews, compensation budgeting. This includes variance analysis, year-on-year comparisons, model salary and bonus pool distributions, and future projections
• Research and develop compensation policies and recommend changes to existing policies and programs
• Manage the performance of the unit: responsiveness to clients, engagement with job, training staff in all aspects of the compensation function

Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ degree required. Master's degree or CCP certification desirable
• Minimum of five to eight years analytical experience in Compensation and HRIS
• Minimum of three years managerial experience also required
• Experience with HR project management; Base, Global, Incentive, Sales, and Qualified & Non-Qualified compensation plan design
• Exceptional experience with HRIS, database and interface management, and web-based HR site development
• Proven HR technical skills and a thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
• Strong quantitative, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, team environment
• High level of proficiency with PeopleSoft Enterprise People Tools Version 8.46 or later
• Experienced user of human capital analytics tools
