About the NJCA

The New Jersey Compensation Association (NJCA) was founded in the early 1950's by a small group of personnel generalists from manufacturing companies in the Newark, New Jersey area. The original purpose was to establish a relationship for sharing wage and salary information. Word spread and the Association grew rapidly.

Today, the NJCA is composed of Compensation professionals from more than fifty diverse companies located throughout northern and central New Jersey (90,000+ total employees in the state of New Jersey). The mission, as stated in its bylaws, is to "provide individuals, active in compensation management, an opportunity to meet and discuss matters of mutual interest." The NJCA is part of the Group Partnership Network (GPN) ofWorldatWork, an international not-for-profit professional association dedicated to knowledge leadership in disciplines associated with attracting, retaining and motivating employees (formerly known as American Compensation Association or ACA). WorldatWork's GPN is an alliance of independent compensation, benefits and human resources organizations.
