Program Summary

As societal norms evolve, so must our compensation planning.  As practitioners, we are facing new challenges every day, and there is a need to be more mindful of all the stakeholders…employees, our Board, institutional investors and watchdogs, and yes, even the media. The goal of compensation is to attract, retain, and motivate your talent, but today we must also use it to focus attention on issues beyond financial metrics and personal goals.  In this session, we will explore how companies are adapting to the times, and looking at ESG metrics, DEI metrics, and Human Capital measures in their short term and long term incentives plans, and how we can evolve our programs to better align these initiatives with our plans.

Program Presenter

Dan Moynihan is a Partner for Korn Ferry Hay Group based in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Moynihan works to clarify client compensation and human resource objectives, developing programs that maximize their resources and existing infrastructure. Responsibilities include the design and development of executive compensation programs to help drive attraction, motivation, and retention of key personnel. Mr. Moynihan advises Boards and executive management at a number of privately held family, and public companies in global industrial, luxury retail, consumer products, and professional services organizations. He also works closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies on pre-IPO related issues.

Mr. Moynihan’s expertise includes executive compensation, equity and phantom equity planning, incentive compensation, deferred compensation, as well as broad-based pay programs. He has helped clients navigate issues including the valuation of different long-term incentive vehicles, risk assessment, equity allocation and competitive evaluation of executive and board pay.
Prior to joining Hay Group, he was a partner in a regional compensation boutique for over 15 years. During his tenure, his time was spent on executive compensation, sales compensation, and broad-based reward programs for emerging and middle market organizations.
